The story began in the very heart of French Riviera on Cote d’Azur in a small town Juan les Pins. The French Ann-Mary Ceci took interest in sewing swimsuits. At first she sewed for herself, for her relatives and friends. Very soon bright and colourful swimsuits attracted the tourists’ attention and became very popular. She had to sew more and more. 


The first shop under the trademark Bip-Bip

was opened in 1976


 

Besides swimsuits Bip-Bip offered light transparent clothes for vacation at the sea. The trademark owes its name to the cartoon character – ostrich Road Runner.

A random name turned to be successful and brought popularity

and love of the customers. 

The first commercial collection was created by Ann-Mary together

with her friend Zhyuslin.

 

 

In 1885 a company called Wilgal was  registered and became the owner

and official representative of Bip-Bip.

Since 1990 the company has been rapidly growing and developing. Big industrial premises have been acquired and swimsuits are being sewn at a large scale.

The design of beachwear with an unusual prints is being admired by more and more customers  along Cannes and Nice beaches.

The trademark is so popular that it goes beyond French and European borders.

In 2011 the company launched new brand of swimsuits Mademoiselle Bip-Bip – junior sister of Bip-Bip. Inspired by Bip-Bip, this brand is targeting to create bright range of swimsuits for young girls. For the first time the brand was presented at Paris Mode City in July 2011.

The style of Bip-Bip  is the style of  Cote d’Azur which is now available  to the women

of the USA, Australia and Russia.
